The Royal and Ancient is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf courses in the world, being founded in 1754.

The Royal Musselburgh Golf Club founded 1774

The Crail Golf Society founded 1786
The Glasgow Golf Club founded 1787
The Burntisland Golf Club founded 1791

St Andrews is a very pleasant place to visit.
