Scottish artists painting of highland castle

This painting is of Castle Stalker which is a four story keep or tower house
on Loch Laich, an inlet off loch Linnhe. It is located about 1.5 miles north east
of Port Appin, and sits around about mid-way between Oban and Glen Coe.
It is accessible (with difficulty) from the shore at low tide.

It is one o best preserved surviving medieval tower-houses surviving
in western Scotland. Built around 1440.
It features in both the Clan Stewart and Clan Campbell histories.
It played a small acting part in Monty Python and the Holy Grail
and Highlander.
