I did originally plan to put historical links and geographical details down here and after 3 or
4 days reading up I thought I would have a look around some web sites and , to be honest,
was so impressed with some of the information around I didn't bother.
To be worth reading would take so long to prepare I wouldn't have time for painting.

If I can just show with the above views the oil paintings numbers 1,3,4 & 5
are all on the west coast. The west coast has longer inlets almost fiord
like whereas the east coast is generally speaking cliffs and beaches
against the North Sea as seen on the oil painting number 7.
